The Opportunity
This position will see you providing high-quality and efficient administrative support to Council’s Jobs Victoria Advocate team, in addition to maintaining business systems for the effective management of daily operations of the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide quick, efficient, accurate and appropriate response to job seekers, internal staff, external stakeholders and community enquiries
- Assist with preparation of data for Key Performance Indicators and other reports as required
- Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge with Word processing, Excel, TRIM, or any other EDRMs and other computer applications to support the JVA team
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in business or related field with little or no experience, or lesser relevant qualifications with some work experience
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office, including proficiency with Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and set priorities, with the ability to respond to difficult situations appropriately
- Experience working with people from socially, economically and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and people with a refugee background or experience working with older people or those with a disability
