Senior Coordinator Community Development

- Salary in excess of $117,000 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation, commensurate with experience.

The Opportunity
Enhance the inclusion, connectedness, resilience, health and wellbeing of the community within Moonee Valley by providing proactive leadership and management of community development services and projects across the municipality.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing development of community development services and programs to assist Council in achieving the objectives set out in MV2040
- Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of community development services delivery across the city, through a neighbourhood level, place-based approach
- Prepare financial and non-financial documentation for budgets each year, and monitor budget forecasts to ensure operations are within the designated allocations
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the broader Arts, Culture and Place department as a member of the leadership team, including policy development, service planning and implementation of Council strategies and plans
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary or post graduate qualification in community development, social work, community planning, development, social science or another related field, with substantial experience working from a community development approach
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership, coaching and management of a multi-disciplinary team working with the wider community, service providers and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- High level interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to prepare reports and funding submissions for a range of audiences with varied timeframes
- Extensive experience in project management and evaluation including effective budget management, and an ability to manage complex projects and deliver effective outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
