The Opportunity
The Planning and Building Support team is currently looking for an administrative star to join the team in a permanent part-time role. Reporting directly to the Team Leader Planning and Building Support, you will provide administration and customer service in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. This opportunity will see you be a part of an inclusive and supportive team that focuses on processing gold standard administrative support while developing skills and knowledge in Statutory Planning and Building.

Responsibilities
- Completion of accurate and timely data entry and other administrative tasks as required.
- Provide high quality and professional customer service to all internal and external customers via a variety of contact channels.
- Ensuring consistency in all aspects of customer service delivery in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including timely follow up and resolution.
- Ensure the accurate lodgements and completion of planning permits, subdivision and building applications within prescribed time frames.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for VCAT applications and hearings.
- Contribute to the establishment, maintenance and regular review of systems and procedures within the department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Skills & Experience required
- Previous experience working within a multi-skilled, high volume, customer driven environment.
- Ability to manage time, organise own work and meet predetermined and/or statutory deadlines.
- Data entry experience with high level attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience and aptitude in dealing with members of the public through a variety of contact channels such as in person, via telephone, email, social media, and other digital channels.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Well-developed administrative skills, (town planning related administrative support experience desirable, but not essential).
- Experience using Pathways, Cisco and/or TRIM (desirable, but not essential).
