- Salary commencing at (BAND8) per annum commensurate with experience plus 11% superannuation.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting leadership opportunity in a newly created position to work in partnership with the Manager Parks and Gardens to build an organisational culture that reflects Council's values and supporting behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate planning to strengthen the capacity to deliver a high quality and responsive service to Council's city and park trees and open space assets
- Lead and demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement with a focus on industry best practice and customer service
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Council's Urban Design, City Planning, Statutory Planning, Recreational Planning and Sustainability teams
- Lead the ongoing review of systems and processes to ensure customer focussed, flexible and responsive service delivery is maintained.
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in an operational service delivery environment
- Demonstrated presentation skills, together with extensive experience presenting to key stakeholders
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, partnered with the ability to gain cooperation from key stakeholders
