- Salary commencing at $72,088.20 per annum plus 12% superannuation (commensurate with experience).

The Opportunity
Moonee Valley City Council is seeking motivated and community-focused Parks Presentation Officers to join our City Presentation team. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the care, presentation, and enhancement of Council's parks, gardens, and open spaces, helping to ensure they are safe, attractive, and welcoming for residents and visitors. You will work as part of a supportive and inclusive team delivering high-quality horticultural and maintenance services across the municipality.
Responsibilities
- Undertake horticultural and park maintenance tasks, including planting, mowing, pruning, mulching, and general upkeep of parks, gardens, reserves and streetscapes.
- Safely operate and maintain a range of plant, machinery, tools and equipment, completing safety checks and reporting defects as required.
- Support and guide apprentices or other team members as delegated.
- Record all required operational activities on Council's asset management system "Confirm".
- Report maintenance issues, equipment conditions, and any public requests or complaints to supervisors as appropriate.
- Follow Council's safety procedures and contribute to a safe and productive workplace.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Horticulture/Parks & Gardens or demonstrate equivalent experience through recognition of prior learning. You will have a solid understanding of horticultural principles and practices, along with the physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment safely. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. A current Victorian Driver's Licence and a Medium Rigid Licence (or a willingness to obtain one) are required, as well as up-to-date Traffic Management, First Aid, and CPR certifications. We are looking for someone with excellent teamwork and communication skills, who can work effectively with colleagues and engage professionally with members of the public.
