Communications and Engagement Advisor

  • Full-Time Permanent position available
  • Salary commencing $85,114.74 per annum plus 12% superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
The Opportunity

The Communications and Engagement Advisor supports the delivery of clear, accurate, and timely communications to internal and external stakeholders. The role contributes to a wide range of communication and engagement activities, working collaboratively across Council on multiple projects to support organisational priorities and achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support the Coordinator Communications and Coordinator Engagement to deliver on the team's objectives.
  • Communicate concisely and persuasively with diverse stakeholders using a range of communication channels, including supporting other team members with communications activities.
  • Support the delivery of communication and engagement initiatives by developing clear, accurate content across multiple channels and working collaboratively with teams across Council.
  • Supporting team members to prepare copy, images and design required in the production of promotional materials, using digital and publishing tools, such as Canva, InDesign and Capcut to produce collateral and digital content as specified.
  • Developing communication plans and design briefs, liaising with external stakeholders including graphic designers throughout collateral production.
  • Using digital platforms, including corporate and engagement tools and resources as required, to support communication and engagement activities and ensure timely, accessible, and consistent messaging.
Skills & Experience

Holds a relevant tertiary qualification with some experience, including demonstrated fast-paced administrative work experience.
