The Opportunity
We are seeking a Technical Director - Sustainability to join our Environment, Sustainability and Heritage team in NSW and nationally. This role offers you a chance to play a pivotal role on challenging and rewarding projects. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and grow the Sustainability, Net Zero and Regenerative Design services in New South Wales.
  • Support existing clients to integrate Sustainability, Net Zero and Regenerative Design principles and strategies into major projects across a range of sectors and scales.
  • Develop new client relationships and broaden the client base in the government, property, and private sectors.
  • Lead research and thought leadership in key areas such as zero carbon, green infrastructure, biodiversity regeneration, nature-based solutions, and circular economy.
  • Build and grow external partnerships and have strong client-facing presence in the market.
  • Identify and lead strategic, cross-sector/multi-disciplinary bids.
  • Assist with the growth of Precincts scale work in NSW.

About You

  • Experience in managing and co-ordinating sustainability teams and tasks on complex projects as part of multi discipline teams to meet objectives, timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong project and commercial management skills including in budgeting, resourcing, and task, scope and programme development.
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills with varied internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or a related discipline.
