We have secured exciting projects across the hydropower and dams sector and are seeking candidates to join our global Dams team. As a leading provider of dam engineering services with a growing portfolio of projects, we have been engaged in the study, design, and delivery of major dam projects for over 80 years.

We are open to this role being based in a variety of locations, which includes our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide offices.

Your opportunity
The role will see you guide a team of engineers and technical specialists, preparing feasibility studies, calculations, and outline/detailed civil engineering designs.

As a Dams and Hydropower Director, you will lead owners engineer services, provide senior leadership and direction to the design of large, multidisciplinary projects, providing technical support, project management, and professional guidance to aid your team's development. The role includes connecting into our Global Dams and Hydropower capability and capacity to bring the best of Mott MacDonald to our Australian clients and growing a team aligned to client needs.

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, ideally chartered with local registration
  • Demonstrated experience of dams, reservoirs, and hydraulics
  • Enthusiasm to guide a team and be a key technical mentor to a larger team of experienced professionals.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects, including managing key clients and other project stakeholders.
