Successful candidates will be part of our multi-disciplinary environment, climate & sustainability team, which covers all aspects of environmental assessment, monitoring and permitting, carbon management, climate resilience, sustainable building and infrastructure design, strategic planning, urban design and statutory planning, corporate sustainability reporting, and strategy development.

The opportunity

Our Environment, Climate and Sustainability team is recruiting for Senior Strategic and Urban Planners to join our growing teams in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. We are seeking highly motivated individuals that want to be part of our growing teams, working on complex projects and helping our clients shape our cities, precincts, and the places in which we live.

We have a growing pipeline of work across transport, social infrastructure, health, defence and renewable energy sectors for government and associated authorities, which you will be responsible for offering strategic and upfront project advice to clients regarding policy, Planning Act, and Council requirements, including;

  • Undertaking planning appraisals and providing written and verbal advice to clients
  • Liaising, coordinating, and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding project assessments and planning issues
  • Assist in the preparation of strategic plans and appropriate statutory planning controls and guidelines which implement effective built form and public realm outcomes.
  • Providing planning advice in relation to strategic, neighbourhood, precinct, and urban renewal projects.

About you

Present a breadth of experience in town/urban planning, planning approvals, and planning permits, with demonstrated knowledge of the relevant state planning and approvals process and legislation, relevant to infrastructure projects. Great verbal and written communication skills, with relevant Tertiary qualification in Town/Urban/regional Planning, or related field is essential.
