The Role:

Within Mott MacDonald, our endeavours encompass an extensive array of services within the realms of renewable energy. Presently, we are seeking a Civil Structural BIM Modeller to partake in our team, dedicated to the development of energy projects. Energy project experience is an advantage but not essential. This role involves collaboration with our adept civil engineering team and falls under the purview of the Technical Director of Hydropower. Mott MacDonald is leading a range of global, projects, including endeavours such as:

* Lake Onslow option of the New Zealand Battery Project
* Pioneer Burdekin Pumped Storage, Australia
* Muswellbrook Pumped Storage, Australia
* Suki Kinari Hydropower, Pakistan
* White Pine Pumped Storage, USA
* Kidston Pumped Storage, Australia
* Central West Pumped Storage, Australia
* Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower, Pakistan

Role Responsibilities:

As a BIM Modeller, your main responsibility is to use software to create accurate digital models, drawings, plans, and layouts for energy projects. Collaboration with project teams is crucial, as you'll need to understand their design requirements and incorporate any changes throughout the product life-cycle.

Adhering to industry standards and quality control procedures is essential to ensure error-free drawings. You'll also manage project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, collaborating with engineering design teams for optimal efficiency. Regular reviews and inspections will help maintain quality standards and staying updated with the latest CAD technologies is vital for success in this role.

About You:

To be considered for the BIM Modeller position, we seek individuals with a demonstrated track record of competence and proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit. Your mastery of these tools is essential for crafting precise 2D and 3D models. Additionally, your strong technical civil structural modelling capabilities and meticulous attention to detail are pivotal in creating accurate visual renderings of design concepts.

Familiarity with industry-specific codes and standards is a must to ensure compliance in your work. Moreover, having a background in various design disciplines is highly beneficial in this role. Previous experience in the renewable energy sector is also a prerequisite.

Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial for resolving design-related issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaboration with architects, engineers, and stakeholders. Strong project management skills are essential for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

While a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
