Your opportunity

As the Technical Director - ETCS, you will be a subject matter expert on railway signalling and advanced train control, providing technical leadership to the respective signalling teams on a project-by-project basis across our national and regional business. You will be involved in some of the most significant rail programs across Australia but will be part of a global business planning and deploying advanced signalling systems across our international portfolio of major metro, high speed and mass transit systems.

As a key member of our Transport team, you will work closely with our Rail and transport leads internally to deliver bespoke ETCS signalling design management & project leadership to our key clients, while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering design teams.

This is an opportunity to help set the strategic technical direction for already strong signalling and rail systems business, embedding the application of ETCS planning and deployment, and elevating the skills of a high performing team.

About You

You will have industry-leading expertise in the field of ETCS and advanced train control systems, including project experience as a technical expert in either the planning, design and/or deployment of ETCS within the rail sector. We are especially interested in candidates who are accustomed to working with a range of high-level rail related stakeholders and managing the technical design inputs across several key projects.

With tertiary qualifications relevant to Engineering, you will have proven skills and knowledge and appreciation of multi-disciplinary requirements of rail projects in feasibility, preliminary and detailed design stages. You have a background in major project delivery, design, and excellent communications skills, being able to bring a mature and relevant network connections in the local market.
