Your Opportunity
Due to continuous growth and a focus on delivering for our clients, Mott MacDonald's Transport team are seeking a range of Senior Utilities Engineers, Transport to work on a variety major rail, roads and highways projects where you'll play a critical role in preventing utility-related disruptions, ensuring safety, and optimizing the efficiency of transportation infrastructure projects by effectively managing utility systems.
The primary responsibilities involve ensuring that utility systems such as water, sewer, gas, electricity, and telecommunications are properly integrated into transportation projects, such as roads, highways, bridges, and transit systems. You will also:
- Develop utility relocation plans when necessary to accommodate transportation projects.
- Design utility systems, including the layout, size, and materials needed for utility lines.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations while designing utility systems.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to utility work, such as unforeseen conflicts or delays.
- Communication and liaison of impacts and proposed relocations with utility authorities.
About You
You have a strong background in Transport Utilities (PUP) collaborating with other engineering disciplines, such as civil and drainage engineers, structural engineers, and traffic engineers, to ensure of a seamless integration of utilities within transportation projects. Lastly you hold relevant engineering qualifications and ideally have had some exposure to the consulting environment.
