Your opportunity
As the Technical Design Manager, Rail Stations, you will be representing the client to successfully manage the delivery of the design of railway stations. You will work from the client's perspective to bring the design teams within budgetary and programme parameters whilst ensuring the designers are working within the acceptable boundaries of compliance.
As a key member of our Transport team, you will work closely with our Rail and Transport leads internally to deliver design management services to key clients, while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering design teams.
Your ability to administer complex contractual requirements with client stakeholders and critical partners will be essential, and you will influence, guide, and bring people along on a journey across several projects of various levels and complexity.
About You
You're a Design Manager with significant experience in Rail Stations design with knowledge of the various rail station design manuals and disability access requirements. We are especially interested in candidates who are accustomed to working with a range of high-level rail related stakeholders and managing the technical design inputs across several key disciplines across a programme.
With tertiary qualifications relevant to Engineering, Architecture, Planning or Project Management, you will have proven skills and knowledge with civil engineering within both brownfield and greenfield the rail environments and an appreciation of multi-disciplinary requirements of rail projects in feasibility, preliminary and detailed design. You will have a background in major project delivery, design, and excellent communications skills, being able to bring a mature and relevant network connections in the local market.
