This is an exciting time to join Multiplex here in Sydney, as part of our dynamic ‘Western Sydney International Airport' project team.
As the successful candidate, you will be required to taking the lead role in maintaining the central document control system to effectively manage the flow of documentation between the project team, design consultants, client and sub-contractors. In this role there will also be the need to manage, lead & mentor the document controllers on the project.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish and maintain an efficient electronic/hard copy system of all design and engineering documentation including drawings
- Assist with Design Consultants and sub-contract queries
- Assist the administration team in preparing document packages for tendering as required
- Auditing incoming documentation received against the document register and liaising with consultants and subbies to educate and rectify errors
- Ensuring that the project stakeholders have up-to-date documentation as required
- Feeding any lessons learnt more broadly to Line Manager and project teams
Key skillset required:
- Solid and proven experience working as a Document Controller on mid to large scale construction projects
- Expert level and thorough understanding of the Aconex document management system – or similar
- Extensive working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- A very strong collaborator with exceptional communication skills
- Strong administrative, planning and organisation skills and a high attention to detail
