Building our Talent
To ensure IT pipeline initiatives and project outcomes are achieved, the IT Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between Global IT and the Multiplex business, to understand and define business requirements, document the business and IT demand items (Intake process) to convert to projects, assess the risks of various solutions and help prioritise competing business demands. The role also provides the opportunity to be a valuable contribution in influencing project decisions and identifying areas for process improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct research and analysis of information and business requirements, engaging with business stakeholders to determine needs and applying existing procedures and specialized skills to develop and recommend system specifications and provide optimal solutions including:
- Act as a conduit between the business and the IT support teams to identify issues and identify solutions that balance regional needs and global consistency.
- Communicate and translate required business process capabilities and outcomes effectively between the business and IT.
- Produce documentation as required for each project (including capturing and documenting all business requirements).
- Produce ‘as-is' and ‘to-be' process maps.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and future state process.
- Support Senior Business Analysts and Project Manager as required on each project.
- Support project meetings by capturing minutes and actions where required.
- Identify impacts and risks in any proposed new process or system amendment.
- Educate process stakeholders in new processes or approaches.
- Promote architectural consistency and usability standards.
- Compile test scripts.
- Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
- Documentation of system enhancements.
Key Skillset Required
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Broad IT domain experience in three or more of the following areas: Business Analysis, Applications Development, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Maintenance and Support
Education and experience:
- Technical fluency - able to communicate information/issues to non-technical individuals
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours with teams across various global locations and time zones
- System implementation and/or development experience
- Be self-managed, able to work independently and within a team
- Strong problem -solving skills
- Aptitude to learn and apply new technologies and understand business processes
- Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management
- Experience in coordinating testing stages
- Experience in change management
