Multiplex WA are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor who is looking to further develop their career with us and be part of our onsite team.
In this role you will be responsible for providing site based HSE advice and support to the Project Management team, develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders and positively influence HSE outcomes across all levels of project management
You will also be required to contribute to the continuous development of HSE management systems and identify opportunities for improvement with the ultimate goal of achieving industry best practice.
Key Accountabilities:
- Advise project staff in matters concerning health, safety and environmental management and assist in issue resolution
- Implement WHS related project management plans
- Prequalification of subcontractors, their people, and on boarding of plant
- Deliver project inductions and facilitate the induction process
- Carry out workplace and plant inspections,
- Audit subcontractors and systems
- Facilitate audits by 3rd parties
- Facilitate D&A testing processes
- Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings
- Disseminate health and safety information
- Manage and update permit to work systems
- Manage HSE training needs
- Contribute to project and trade risk workshops
- Undertake incident investigations and write reports
- Produce and populate monthly HSE reports and manage associated data
- Use intranet and internet system application
Key Skill Set:
- Proven construction industry experience in a similar HSE position
- Solid and rounded experience across health and safety and environmental management
- Excellent knowledge of applicable (WHS) legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and other relevant documentation
- Minimum Cert IV OHS/WHS
- Incident investigation training
- First aid training
- Fire warden trainingPreferred
- Diploma OHS/WHS, CERT IV in training and assessing
- Cert. IV in Environmental Management
- Trade background
- High risk workers licence, work at heights, confined space
