Building our Talent
Multiplex are now recruting for a Global Senior Financial Accountant. This role will be an integral part of the global finance team and to be a key member to provide both technical financial accounting and reporting expertise to the team. You will be joining a team who are team players, who have been part of the financial team for over 5 years and will have excellent exposure to all of the key executives in the business.
Key Accountabilities:

Ownership of the quarterly financial reporting process for Multiplex Australia and the quarterly consolidation of all the regional financial reporting packs to ensure that our results are in compliance with IFRS and submitted to our listed parent entity (Brookfield Business Corporation) in a timely manner.

Ownership of the monthly global consolidation process (“the break report”) to ensure that all intercompany loans and transactions are appropriately eliminated on a timely basis with the correct FX postings.

Ownership of the global risk allowance process. Ownership for the Australian numbers and coordinating with the global regions to ensure that items are booked in line with the policy. Ownership for preparing reconciliations and reporting the balance.

Ownership of the tax effect accounting processes at quarter and year end and the annual tax return process.

Ownership of the preparation and/or review of the suite of statutory financial statements to be prepared for Multiplex on an annual and semi-annual basis.

Ownership of all covenant reporting for the Global Group.

Ownership of the Global IFRS 16 lease register and process.

Input into the general ledger balance sheet reviews for the corporate entities, involving the review of the support and the integrity of the numbers whilst ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Key Skillset Required:
- Finance (or similar) undergraduate degree
- 1 years + in relevant role (post CA qualifying)
- Financial reporting
- Financial statement preparation
- Experience using a general ledger system
- Consolidation and fx
- Intermediate excel skills
- Time management skills with a focus on deadline delivery
- Management of indirect relationships (Other BUs)
- Attention to detail
Desirable
- Construction experience (advantageous)
- Experience using a consolidation system (HFM advantageous)
