We currently have an opportunity for a Team Member to join our Accounting Operations team. You will work closely with the Divisional and Group Finance teams for accurate, complete, and timely management of Event Processing within General Ledger and preparation of reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation ensuring data integrity support processes are adhered to including timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial and management accounting activities including journal preparation, month end close, reconciliations, half year and year end statutory reporting requirements
- Effectively manage any issues and/or escalations through to resolution of queries
- Ensure controls are effective and operated in line with policy requirements
- Continual assessment of processes, outputs and controls to progress the function toward best practice operational excellence
- Actively participate in Finance Strategy initiatives
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills to provide value add analysis of financial and non-financial data into meaningful business insights
- Strong process improvement capability in both identification and successful implementation of process re-engineering initiatives
- Experience in working with accounting systems including SAP, HFM and Blackline is desirable
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain concepts and present key insights to a broad audience
- Sound problem solving skills with the capability to apply logic to break down problems and recommend solutions
- Proven Experience in Financial/Management Accounting or Reconciliations is a pre-requisite
- Undergraduate qualification (Financial or Commercial preferred)
