About the role:
Being a key contributor in a high-performance analytics team, you will be working collaboratively within cross-functional Remediation squads to support the timely resolution of Events across the Enterprise by:
- Creating analytical tools and models to quantify the number of customers impacted by different types of Events
- Developing the financial calculators to determine the appropriate customer compensation to ensure customers are remediated fairly, accurately and in a timely manner
- Being involved in delivering initiatives that uplift the consistency and performance of the team
- Contributing towards the Remediation Analytics capability
What you will be doing
- Supporting the timely analysis and remediation of customer events by understanding the priority and criticality of events for the Bank, and considering this in your approach with other teams
- Orchestrating the sourcing of applicable data from NAB’s different data environments and systems to be used for remediation analytics
- Highlighting potential technology process and system changes to obtain data
- Obtaining data to identify impacted customers and required compensation
- Testing your code to ensure quality delivery
- Managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring technical analytics resources have the data, tools and context to effectively analyse event data.
- Developing and maintaining important documentation that describes the remediation event and the systems
- Coordinating analytical output of the team to socialise with event owners and business SMEs, maintain a strong relationship with these stakeholders
- Providing input from a data perspective into the event triage and prioritisation of the scheduling of the event remediation work
- Contributing to management of remediation events inclusive of resource management, timelines, deliverables, and project management for remediation analytics
What you will bring
- Knowledge of core data principles such as Data Analysis, analytics and data science.
- Knowledge of typical data sourcing / ETL requirement gathering, planning, risks, issues.
- Strong experience in Data analysis and experience in a technology and data domain preferable banking and finance.
- Extensive hands-on experience in SQL
- Python knowledge is good to have
- AWS/Cloud experience is good to have
- Requirements gathering and prioritisation particularly in data/technology
- Experience in interpreting data outputs and creating reports
- Drafting and maintaining documentation (data requirements, analytics strategies, remediation strategies and technical documentation)
- Working with technical teams to understand timing and delivery of data
- Strong understanding of basic data wrangling
- Ownership and accountability of your work
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
