The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Alternative Investments and Responsible Investing, the role of Senior Analyst Alternative Investments will produce high quality investment research and insight on identified Alternative Investment funds and support the continued expansion of JBWere’s Alternative Investments offering. As a key member, you will engage and support key JB Were stakeholders, clients, and advisors with Alternative Investments.
Day to day you will:
- Help identify attractive investment opportunities and provide high quality due diligence research on Alternative Investment funds across private equity, private debt, natural resources, real assets and uncorrelated strategies/hedge funds with a view of assessing suitability for inclusion in JBWere’s Approved Product List (APL) and in client/model portfolios
- Support the team on execution of Alternatives strategy including working with stakeholders to drive the identified changes
- Report and present on Alternative Investment topics/approved funds in response to adviser queries and provide adviser training on alternative investment topics as required
- Engage on Alternative Investment topics with clients and other external parties where required
- Support the creation of comprehensive and timely quarterly reports and governance reporting
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics or Business with relevant experience
- Post-graduate qualification such as MBA or CFA/CAIA would be highly beneficial
- Exceptional experience in manager selection and due diligence of Alternative Investments. Experience in real assets preferred however experience across Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Assets, Natural Resources, Uncorrelated Strategies/hedge funds will be beneficial.
- Experience in portfolio construction incorporating including advanced research, analytical and performance evaluation techniques relevant to asset class
- Experience in driving change and strategy execution while influencing key stakeholders
