We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Group Accounting Policy team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies across the Group and providing technical accounting advice on significant or complex transactions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide technically sound and commercial accounting advice for complex accounting issues and transactions
- Set, implement, and advise on the application of Board approved accounting policies throughout the Group
- Assess the impact of proposed new accounting standards to the Group
- Represent the Group in the financial reporting community and influence accounting standard setters in the best interest of the Group
- Play a key role in the design and preparation of the Group's half-year and full-year external financial reporting to ensure compliance with the Corporations Act and accounting standards
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Uncompromising drive, passion, focus, and energy to help innovate and drive change
- Strong level of quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of financial services business & products
- Profound experience in accounting services
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting/business with CA/CPA post graduate qualification
- Ability to maintain stakeholder engagement across NAB and externally
- Strong report writing and communication skills
