To lead your team and make an impact:
Reporting to the Executive B&PB Divisional Controls and supports the B&PB Leadership Team to maintain a strong customer centric Divisional Regulatory Response & Remediation capability.
Key to your role will be within the Business & Private First Line Risk and Control team, taking ownership for end-to-end delivery of B&PB customer remediation events, from understanding the root cause of an issue and the size of the impact to customers and the bank, designing and implementing solutions to prevent ongoing detriment, and finally remediating customers, both financially and non-financially.
- This role will support B&PB Product and Distribution Executives in the end-to-end management, coordination, and completion of regulatory and industry body requests for information relating to B&PB
- Design and execution of sustainable remediation strategies to ensure issues are addressed and reduce future event occurrence including both business process improvement to prevent future re-occurrence and where necessary customer remediation.
- Manage remediation event pipeline and provide transparent and comprehensive reporting on all remediation activities and key regulatory responses to business executives and internal regulatory teams
- Develop strategy to proactively identify issues through various data sources including customer complaints, events and regulatory breaches analysed through product and service teams to determine potential systemic issues
What we’re looking for in our future talent:
- Significant banking experience in the regulatory and customer remediation environment
- Depth and breadth of leadership of a team, ideally with functional and professional diversity to lead project and change management initiatives
- Proven experience in legal, risk or compliance
- Experience in both customer remediation strategy development and execution
