The Role
You work closely with the Domain Orchestration lead, Sub Domain Leads and Heads of Engineering to orchestrate and sequence delivery of Business Outcomes
You facilitate collaboration between other Domains and dependent Technology service Teams that have squads simultaneously delivering to the same overarching outcomes. You contribute to cross-domain forums.
You have people leader accountability for Delivery roles within the domain to develop and grow our staff and improve performance.
You liaise between business and technology to coordinate delivery of complex and strategic initiatives
Key components of your role will entail:
- Align strategic direction of Tech delivery across sub domains and squads working on the same, highly complex business outcomes
- Provide targeted communication to all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, and issues as well as to measure and manage stakeholder expectations. You work with senior stakeholders across many parts of the organisation.
- You provide leadership across very large-scale Business Outcomes, with significant financial investment, broad resource demands, and extended timeframes
- You are required to develop deep working relationships with many vendors across multiple (and competing) offerings, while operating in a highly complex stakeholder environment across multiple Domains
- Coordinate the operating rhythm to support lean governance processes for all change activity
- Drive technology workforce planning for the Domain and Sub-Domains working with Domain Orchestration Lead to create inputs to the Banks quarterly planning process (QDR)
- Monitor Domain delivery performance metrics and support the Sub Domains leads with uplift interventions where required
- Support (Sub) Domain Leaders and Tech Executives in removing and resolving impediments
What you will bring:
- At least 10 years in complex project, program, portfolio, or delivery management preferably with at least 7 years in banking and financial services. Payment’s experience looked upon favourably.
- Demonstrable experience and outcomes in agile ways of working and agile at scale approach
- Managing the delivery of very large complex programs containing multiple streams, with multiple vendors (typically >$50m excluding software & hardware)
- Building, leading, and managing teams of between 10-200+ people (dotted line)
- Extensive use of structured program and project management methodologies, inclusive of change management and technology delivery
- Track record of providing quality insights that help drive decisions to ensure teams are operating effectively and delivering consistent results in a large complex organisation
- Strong understanding of technology, analysis and business process-based solutions
