Please note there are multiple roles available reporting to various 'Head Of' roles within Financial Crime Risk.
Recruiting for all divisionally aligned FCRM teams in Personal Bank, Business and Private Bank, UBank, Corporate and Institutional Bank and Enabling Units (Operations, Technology, Procurement and People & Culture)
This role is responsible for supporting the Manager, Head of, Executive and Group MLRO deliver risk stewardship, to support the NAB Group manage and mitigate Fraud risks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Advise and challenge the Business Units/Enabling Units on all aspects of Fraud matters
- Provide an assessment of fraud risks on existing and new products, services and channels
- Provide oversight in relation to fraud events to identify breaches of the law, industry codes, guidance issued by regulatory bodies, or industry codes that NAB subscribes to
- Assist the customer divisions and Line 1 teams in embedding Fraud Risk Policy Framework including risk appetite settings
- Monitor risk appetite settings and tolerances and ensure action plans are in place where the business is operating outside these settings
- Provide policy guidance, definition and interpretation assistance, and perform oversight activities
- Provide insights to Senior Management and other relevant stakeholders on fraud risk management
- Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising the contributions of others to ensure the achievement of team goals
- Demonstrate and provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fraud risk management
- Sound knowledge of current fraud risks and an understanding of emerging fraud trends
- Knowledge of fraud typologies and appropriate controls to manage the risk in one or more of the following areas:
- Personal/retail banking (e.g. credit cards, loans, mortgages)
- Digital banking
- Business banking (e.g. customer accounts and cards, trade lending, invoicing)
- Institutional (e.g. markets, securities)
- Virtual currencies/assets
- Optional knowledge of accounting controls and forensic accounting experience (Financial Statement Fraud, General Fraud & Misconduct) preferred for certain divisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, influencing and negotiating abilities and time management
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast moving and demanding environment.
