The leadership and direction of the Strategic Business Services function across the organisation’s agribusiness operations is to ensure that impaired asset files are managed to maximise income, minimise potential loss and protect the organisation’s reputation and brand.
As the Associate Director of Strategic Business Services, you will proactively manage a portfolio of Agribusiness corporate customers that are in financial difficulty. You will be a cultural lead for the SBS team through demonstration of SBS Principles and NAB’s How we Work principles.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Management of complex categorised/impaired asset exposures in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Providing skilled advice to Agribusiness customers in the management of credit and lending issues.
- Supporting the capability uplift of Impaired Asset Managers and Bankers.
- Providing maintenance of DCA for ongoing accreditation.
- To continuously evaluate the bank’s credit policies, processes, and procedures with particular emphasis on Impaired Assets and recommend changes where appropriate so that asset quality standards are maintained and strengthened.
- Ensuring team compliance with FSRA requirements and external legislation in a professional & ethical manner.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Many years of experience working in financial services in agribusiness, specialising in portfolio management of complex high risk customers, credit risk, insolvency and/or credit compliance.
- Practical experience in managing high risk impaired assets and understanding of associated regulatory requirements, including Corporations Act, Bankruptcy Act and Banking Code of Practice.
- Sound experience in a role exercising credit authority in agribusiness lending.
- Enjoy working collaboratively, great communication skills and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Sound understanding in delivering regulatory change or transformation initiatives.
- Experience in non-financial risk, particularly compliance obligation management.
- Able to digest and coordinate multiple disparate pieces of work concurrently and drive timely delivery of priority actions.
- Strong customer and internal engagement, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in finance, agriculture or related disciplines essential.
