The role:
The Deal Structuring & Execution business provides a differentiated specialist service proposition for large, complex, and sophisticated customers, providing industry and credit assessment expertise. The Corporate Health team primarily works with Middle Market Healthcare clients which includes both listed and private entities as well as large family groups. Sub-Sectors managed include but are not limited to Aged Care & other Seniors Accommodation, Private/Day Hospitals, General & Specialist Medical, Allied Health, Health Insurers & Medical Suppliers.
As our new Senior Associate, you will support our Relationship Managers within the Corporate Health specialist partnership with complex deal structuring and the execution of these deals. Your expertise in credit submissions, financial analysis for large and complex structured deals for approval will allow our Associate Directors to spend more time in front of our customers building stronger relationships.
In this role, a typical day for me will include:
- Preparation of complex customer lending submissions to ensure they are structured in line with NAB policy and standards providing recommendations to Credit Risk.
- Present complex credit submissions to a variety of other stakeholders to progress a deal to approval (e.g. Relationship Managers, , Legal, Customers & Advisors etc.)
- Manage workflow and prioritise activities to seamlessly meet customer’s expectations and provide exceptional service
- Drives and supports the portfolio management process & origination activities when required
- Attending customer meetings to support our Relationship Managers with structuring and credit expertise
- Conducting research & analysis to provide sector expertise, insights and knowledge to both internal & external stakeholders.
- Assisting customers with various transaction, product, and service information as requested
- Mentoring & coaching of junior staff members within the broader national team.
What you will bring:
This role will be ideal for a current corporate/commercial lender or associate who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will work on large and complex business transactions across the Corporate Health sector. Are you ready to become a valued partner for our Relationship Managers?
You have previous experience with corporate lending, deal structuring and most importantly, credit assessment of large complex transactions. You are experienced in writing complex credit submissions & complete assessment of Corporate Health transactions. Your previous experience in structuring and packaging transactions will set you up for success. Past experience in lending to healthcare business’s is favourable but not essential.
