The role:
Our Business Everyday Banking domain offers market leading propositions for our customers on their everyday banking needs. This is an exciting time to be on the journey as we continue to build our digital banking capabilities to deliver first class customer experiences. The Business Performance and Transformation team are critical in enabling and executing on the Business Everyday Banking strategy, and this is where you step in to help! As part of the broader B&PB Transformation function, this position will see you supporting and assisting in the delivery of strategic initiatives within the Banker Enablement Domain.
In this role, you will liaise between the business and technology to coordinate complex and strategic initiatives which span across multiple Domains and Squads. You will help squads to define and plan work to achieve the sub-domains prioritised business outcomes. You will work to ensure squads that are undertaking work across multiple domains are working towards the same business outcome, coordinating the squads’ backlog and roadmap to reduce duplication of work, effort along with expediting the resolution of blockers.
Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You provide portfolio management services to BPB’s Banker Enablement Domain including business & technology teams and all funding sources
- Maintain a catalogue of squad compositions, and support domain resource roll-on / roll-off
- Establish a comprehensive knowledge base to allow domain resources to self-serve on operating rhythm, domain drivers, squad compositions, roadmaps, tools, org charts, and std PMO processes
- Control domain financials by establishing forecasting and actuals mgt processes, templates, and best practices that enable sub-domain & domain insights (i.e. variance, perm/contract/consultant, capability/asset, etc) and ensure plan is met, ensuring compliant & timely time-sheeting, cost transfer, and invoicing
- Maintain a register of all vendor costs funded from the domain (incl forward commitments), case manage important / high profile procurement requests, and support understanding/execution of procurement processes
- Work with Domain Orchestration and Tech Op Model Team to ensure Clarity & Rally are appropriately and consistently configured, act on health checks for same, and leverage Teams as a key collaboration tool across the Domains
- Post Domain transition, become the custodian of domain-ways-of-working
- Support stakeholder reporting including sub-domain PSRs, IPRF workcards, squad composition & FTE, financials (Mth, YTD, FY, WOL | Domain & Sub-domain), SDR, Power BI Domain Dashboard
- Maintain definition of domain op rhythm and provide secretariat services to Domain LT, Exec Check-in inclusive of minutes, actions & decisions
- Oversight effective issues and risk management across Sub-domains and Domain
What you will bring:
- Strong experience in project & portfolio management, preferably banking and financial services
- Proven experience within a Finance function heavily reliant on the use of quantitative data to executive its outcomes
- Experience in Domains delivering large complex programs containing multiple streams, across multiple regions, with multiple vendors (~$50-60m portfolio)
- Knowledge and experience of PMO processes
- Ability to persuade/influence peers and leaders towards change and experimenting with new concepts/approaches
- Hold others to account as per the Domain Model
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint ability
