We currently have a full time opportunity for a Senior Analyst Customer Risk Detection within Financial Crime Operations to deliver solutions that are pivotal to our goal to ‘stop the money, stop the crime’.
FCO are partway through a considerable change journey to uplift our data and technology landscape to deliver to business needs, investing heavily in building an enterprise leading Financial Crime data asset with modelled data to deliver to numerous financial crime use cases supporting FC Operations.
About you and the role
Reporting to the Head of Customer Risk Detection you are an experienced professional within data analytics and detection management. In your role you will provide oversight over existing detection capabilities and tools and providing support, governance and technical implementations of risk rating micro-services & SAS, Quantexa which will drive the enterprise Customer Risk Assessment Model.
To be successful, you will need to be tertiary qualified in business or related discipline and have experience in a relevant data analytics and detection management role within the financial services sector.
You will have demonstrated experience in:
- Experience in Data analytics, Data Modelling, Data designing, Process improvement aligned to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) CTF Program
- Good strategic concepts and implementation of financial crime detections strategies around Customer Risk Assessment Methodologies and models
- Working knowledge of financial crime regulatory environment locally and globally including an understanding of financial crime risks and control framework.
- Data analytics and machine learning modelling techniques.
- Data visualisation experience and working with large datasets to develop insights for management reporting.
- Results and outcome focused with an ability to manage conflicting priorities
- A commercial acumen with strong problem-solving ability
- Programming Languages – SQL, SAS, Python, Spark, Scala.
- Strong analytical and investigation skills
Day to day you will:
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance & change management of NAB Group’s financial crime risk assessment methodologies and models, including the Customer, Product, Channel and Jurisdiction Risk Assessments.
- Balancing deep-diving on detection and intelligence initiatives specially around Customer Risk Assessment and other risk assessment methodologies like Jurisdictional Risk Assessment etc.
- Translating data findings into usable, understandable divisional insights driving a targeted approach on customer risk rating and all data inputs which drive the risk assessment methodology.
- Proactively support the business with insights and detection view to optimise our ongoing detection by rule optimisation, investigating/remediating data quality issue.
- Adapting to new tools and new data sources as they become available in NDH/NDC
