About the Role:
In this role you will undertake business metrics definition, collection, cleaning, extraction and validation. You will enable fact-based decision making for exceptional business and customer outcomes. You will also dictate best practices for data engineering within the data analytics team
You will undertake, data modelling and analytics. You will need to be proficient in data engineering using SQL, SSIS, Python, Cloud tools, Data Bricks and Spark.
Role Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and enduring datasets that enable data analytics solutions and actionable insights delivered to Group Product Optimisation
- Create metrics with value-add business rules using SQL code
- Maintain metrics catalogue
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience
- 5+ years experience as a data engineer in complex data ecosystem.
- Extensive hands-on data analytics experience, synthesising actionable insights from raw data
- Strong business analysis experience
- Extensive experience in working in an agile environment
Essential capabilities
- Strong data engineering skills using SQL, SSIS, Python and Spark etc
- Strong data platform skills
- Strong data modelling and analytics skills
- Code management tools (GIT)
- Sound business acumen
Other capabilities
- Ability to build rapport with team and business colleagues.
- Cloud data platform (Redshift, Databricks)
