The role:
Oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of applications that support NAB’s physical security operations including CCTV, alarms, access control, combination locks, control room monitoring, incident management, work order and asset management.
Provide business hours technical support for the users of these applications. Provide 24/7 support and resolution for application and system related issues via a rotational on-call schedule.
Support physical security projects including new site installations, technology upgrades, technology integrations and implementation of new initiatives.
Develop and manage standard device configurations across the organisation to ensure consistent implementation of solutions.
The role and Day to day will include:
- Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring of analysts to uplift service capability and develop cross-skilled individuals.
- Maintain the end-to-end technical services including dependent components and infrastructure for the entire integrated physical security application suite, including:
Security operations centre applications (Everbridge IP security centre and Patriot systems)
Video Wall displays (Crestron)
Intruder alarm detection (Tecom Challenger)
CCTV recorders (March Networks)
Safe combinations (Cencon)
Building access control (Integriti)
Building intercoms (Jacques)
Digital radio systems (Motorola TRBOnet)
Incident Management (Noggin)
Job and asset Management (Pinnacle)
Protective Security (DataMinr, International SOS)
- Support project work by systems integrators, including:
Updating device mapping in associated applications
Commissioning/decommissioning and validating site security hardware integrations
- Respond and provide resolution to support tickets from end users 24/7 via a rotational on-call schedule.
- Respond and provide resolution to technical issues and outages 24/7 via a rotational on-call schedule.
- Monitor, respond and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Facilitate POCs and deployments of new technology solutions
- Administration and renewal of certificates
- Monitor application health and proactively address issues
- Monitor and maintain the efficiency of device configurations and software applications
- Apply application updates in alignment with change management methodologies
- Maintain the application suites test environment components and infrastructure including patching Cloud servers
- Create technical documentation, system material and user knowledge base articles
- Assist in the development and implementation of pro-active improvements to the service
- Work with other teams to identify bugs, test, reproduce, report, and work with the escalation engineers to assist with a fix and test/verify fix versions
- Stakeholder communication & management of stakeholder expectations
- Maintain good working relationships with manufacturers and vendors to ensure product improvements are identified and communicated
What you'll bring:
5+ years’ experience with physical security solutions in large distributed corporate environment, such as:
- Physical Security Information Management Systems
- Control Room Monitoring Software and environments
- CCTV systems
- Alarm panels
- Building access control systems
- IP Intercoms systems
- Safe Combination locking
- Digital radio systems
- Video walls
Strong awareness and understanding of a broad range of information technologies, including:
- Networking and Firewalls
- Windows servers
- Linux (basic skills only)
- Cloud hosting (Azure and AWS)
- SQL Databases
- Authentication and encryption
- SSL Certificates
- API and SDK’s
- Change and configuration management
- Security vulnerability scanning and remediation
Previous exposure to banking environment desirable with an appreciation of enterprise processes and tools such as:
- Incident management
- Change management
- Work Orders
- Support tickets
- Vulnerability scanning and remediation
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communications
Follow defined processes and procedures and encourage colleagues to use these processes
Strong sense of ownership to drive outcomes
Ability to demonstrate initiative self-recognising, troubleshooting and remediating application/system issues
Ability to write internal facing documentation
Ability to support and collaborate with NAB users, third party technicians and backend engineering teams
Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field
Relevant product certifications desirable
Hold, or ability to hold a Security Installers License
