The Role:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Data Integration team within Financial Crime Enablement. This role will be responsible for the investigation, tracking and resolution of data quality incidents and minimize adverse business impact by co-ordinating the efforts of stakeholders and enterprise support functions. This role will work closely with Financial Crime Operations teams to identify, record, escalate and resolve business and technology issues, as well as deliver a timely, quality, and consistent service which meets the needs of the customer and the business. Where capacity allows it, this role will also support with strategic data delivery projects as a Data SME, involving analysing key datasets, business requirement elicitation, solution design advise and business verification testing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Analyse, resolve, and report to senior leadership on major data quality issues, incidents and risks and co-ordinate remediation activities across Financial Crime Operations.
- Consult and inform FCO teams about business impact of major data quality issues, to enable identification of risk and successfully implement initiatives to manage unacceptable risk.
- Increase awareness across the division related to data quality issues and incidents through effective and timely communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Support on strategic data initiatives as a Financial Crime data SME, as needed. This may involve data analysis, requirement documentation or business validation testing.
About You:
- Strong experience with analysing data to determine root cause of data related issues (ideally using SQL or Python)
- Knowledge of NABs data and technology landscape- including service team relationships, NABs primary tech assets and their responsibility/place in NABs ecosystem
- An understanding of financial crime regulation and obligations, as well as ML/TF risks preferred, but not mandatory
- An ability to work with operational teams to translate business requirements into data and tech deliverables, working with a broad spectrum of data and technology resources to do so
- Ability to manage and communicate across a broad range of stakeholders – from Data Engineers to Executives
- Ability to act quickly to identify and resolve potential blockers and issues to ensure speed to outcome
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyse and draw appropriate conclusions from data
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
