Nacap is a leading player in the pipeline and civil works industry, and part of the Quanta Services group. We build the infrastructure that supports Australia's energy transition and growing communities — and we believe that building it well means protecting the land, water and cultural heritage around it just as seriously as the build itself.
Job DescriptionKick-start your career protecting the land, water and environment behind some of Australia's biggest infrastructure projects. Nacap is launching a brand-new Environmental Graduate stream — and we're looking for our first intake to start January 2027.
As an Environmental Graduate, you'll join Nacap's newest Graduate Program stream and get hands-on exposure across every part of how we protect the environment around our projects. Over an 18-month structured program, you'll complete three 6-month rotations:
Environmental & Approvals — Implementing the business Environmental Management System (EMS), undertaking approvals and compliance tracking, environmental reporting and providing project environmental support.
Site-Based Delivery — two rotations out on a live project site, putting it all into practice through field work, inspections, reporting and day to day environmental management.
You'll be based at our Doncaster head office for the office-based rotations, with a site-based rotation (FIFO/DIDO) taking you out to where the real work happens. You'll be paired with an experienced mentor, join in-house Masterclasses, and get the support you need to build toward an Environmental Advisor role — and beyond.
QualificationsWe're looking for graduates who are curious, adaptable and genuinely excited about protecting the environment and cultural heritage while infrastructure gets built around them. You'll have:
A degree (or be in your final year) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Graduated within the last year, or currently in your final year of study.
Strong communication skills, positive approach, and the confidence to build relationships with a huge range of people — Traditional Owners, landholders, regulators and project teams alike.
A team-first and proactive attitude, and the willingness to get out on site (FIFO/DIDO) when your rotation calls for it.
Previous exposure to environmental management work (an internship, cadetship or site experience) is a bonus, not a requirement — we'll teach you the rest.
As our first Environmental Graduate, you won't be on the sidelines. You'll have:
Real responsibility, early. You'll be trusted with genuine project work from day one, not just observing from the back of the room.
A program built around you. Three rotations, a dedicated mentor, in-house Masterclasses and professional development support (including pathways through the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand) — all designed to set you up for a long career.
A seat at the table. You'll present your experiences directly to Nacap's Operations Leadership Group and Executive Committee — your voice counts here, from year one.
A genuine career path. This program is designed to take you from graduate to Environmental Advisor, with plenty of room to keep growing from there.
A values-driven culture. Integrity, teamwork and a relentless drive to be better aren't just words on a wall — they shape how we work, every day.
Perks & benefits
Attractive salary package — we value your contribution from day one.
Discounts program — everyday savings at over 400 retailers.
Employee Assistance Program — support for your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Generous employee referral program — know a great future teammate? Earn a bonus for the introduction.
Flexibility and wellbeing — we understand the importance of balance.
Free onsite parking at our Doncaster office.
An outstanding, social culture — including volunteer days and a genuinely supportive team.
