A bit about your role
The Migration Engineer is responsible for implementing migration and augmentation processes across the PE Core Networks environment, including core aggregation, access networks (HFC, FTTN/B/P/C), Enterprise Ethernet, NCN and SCN networks, and associated OSS platforms. The role involves performing pre‑migration testing, executing network cutovers, capacity upgrades, and active changes within a live production environment, ensuring high network availability and minimal customer impact. It requires broad understanding of all involved technologies and OSS interactions, strong collaboration with internal teams, delivery partners and vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate brings good experience in an operational environment, with strong routing and switching knowledge and exposure to migration processes. They have a solid understanding of OSS tools, proven fault‑finding and troubleshooting capability, and core network skills including migration tools, scripting, and data management. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly when directing contractors and guiding field teams. The candidate should be customer‑focused, safety‑conscious, able to manage their own learning, and capable of building positive working relationships while ensuring network integrity during adds, moves, and changes.
