Position Title: Portfolio Support Lead
Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Portfolio Support Lead reporting to Portfolio Support Manager.
A bit about your role
As the Portfolio Support Lead, you will coordinate a dedicated team of Metrics Analysts to provide critical financial, resource and governance support to senior leaders across the Systems Engineering and Operations (SEO) Pillars. You will be instrumental in delivering clear, timely and insightful financial modelling and reporting, ensuring that decision-makers are empowered with the information they need to drive performance and accountability.
With a strong focus on consistency and transparency, you will champion standardised processes and lead initiatives that streamline data management and improve operational efficiency. Your ability to foster collaboration across onshore and offshore teams will be essential in meeting key deadlines and maintaining alignment with nbn’s broader strategic goals.
A bit about you
If this sounds like the role for you, you will likely bring a strong background in portfolio or program support, with experience leading cross-functional teams and supporting complex projects across the full solution development lifecycle.
You are confident engaging with senior stakeholders and thrive in environments where clarity, structure and collaboration are key to success. Your analytical mindset is matched by your ability to communicate with empathy and influence with purpose. You are passionate about continuous improvement and bring a thoughtful, inclusive approach to driving change. With your commitment to excellence and your ability to bring people together, you will help ensure nbn’s portfolio governance remains robust, responsive and future-focused.
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
