Our commitment to Inclusion
nbn is committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves.
The telecommunications and field services sectors have historically underrepresented women, First Nations peoples and some other groups. nbn is focused on creating pathways that broaden participation and remove unnecessary barriers to entry.
Applications are encouraged from women, First Nations peoples, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, mature-age candidates, career changers and individuals returning to the workforce.
nbn recognises that valuable capability can be developed through many different life and career experiences. For this reason, telecommunications experience is not a prerequisite for success in this role. Recruitment focuses on capability, potential and commitment to learning.
nbn supports inclusion through initiatives including its Reconciliation Action Plan, Accessibility and Inclusion Plan, employee-led inclusion networks, and recognition as a WORK180 Endorsed Employer for Women and a Pride in Diversity Platinum Employer.
