Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Manager, New Developments Investment Governance reporting to Executive Manager Strategic Planning and Governance

A bit about your role

This role provides commercial leadership across the New Developments portfolio, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen investment governance, improve business case quality, and support evidence-based decision-making. The successful candidate will analyse commercial and operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and translate insights into clear recommendations that enhance portfolio outcomes and benefits realisation. Working collaboratively across finance, operations, account management and data teams, they will help drive investment performance, financial planning and governance compliance, while supporting the adoption of innovative analytics and continuous improvement initiatives that maximise long-term value for customers and the business.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate brings expertise in commercial analysis, investment governance, financial planning and business case development, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities, challenge assumptions and translate complex insights into clear business recommendations. They are highly analytical, experienced in working with financial and operational data, and skilled at driving governance, process improvement and performance outcomes across cross-functional teams. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to build trusted relationships, provide constructive challenge, coach others to better understand commercial drivers, and collaborate effectively with business, finance, operational and technology stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes. Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, property development or similar industries is advantageous.

Application Process

You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
