Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Project Manager reporting to Executive Manager Field Portfolio Governance and Delivery

A bit about your role

The Project Manager role is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of Field Services transformation initiatives, working collaboratively across multiple business units to drive capability development, operational improvement, and business outcomes. The successful candidate will manage project planning, delivery, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk and change management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to organisational objectives. They will build strong partnerships across teams, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, and contribute to strategic decision-making in complex and fast-paced environments. A key requirement is the ability to understand nbn’s regulatory commitments and translate them into practical delivery outcomes that enhance workflow efficiency, productivity, and operational performance at scale.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will bring strong project and program delivery expertise, with the ability to lead complex initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive successful business change. They will be a collaborative and adaptable professional with excellent communication, analysis, problem-solving, and organisational skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and building effective cross-functional partnerships. Experience across Agile, Waterfall, and Lean delivery methodologies, combined with strengths in project governance, risk and change management, coaching, and capability development, will be highly regarded. A solid understanding of the telecommunications industry, PMO frameworks, and advanced reporting tools is desirable, along with the ability to interpret nbn’s regulatory commitments and translate them into practical outcomes that improve workflow efficiency, productivity, and operational performance at scale.

Application Process

You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
