A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a General Manager System Delivery and Ops - Field and IP&D (Infrastructure, Planning and Delivery) reporting to Executive General Manager SEO Networks and Operations.
A bit about your role
As the General Manager System Delivery and Ops - Field and IP&D (Infrastructure Planning & Delivery), you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering the AI and technology roadmap that supports nbn’s Field and Build portfolio. Partnering closely with business leaders and stakeholders, you will ensure technology investments, strategic priorities and operational outcomes remain aligned, enabling the successful delivery of initiatives that create measurable and sustained business value across the organisation.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery and operational management of systems and platforms across the full technology lifecycle, from planning and development through to deployment, support, optimisation and retirement. With a strong focus on collaboration, you will bring together cross-functional teams, external partners and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality. You will also support the adoption of automation, AI and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery performance, strengthen customer experiences and improve operational efficiency.
A bit about you
You are an experienced technology leader with a strong track record of delivering complex programs and operational outcomes within large-scale technology, telecommunications or infrastructure environments. Your background includes leading multidisciplinary teams through significant transformation, while balancing strategic priorities, operational performance, security, resiliency and customer-focused outcomes. You bring extensive experience across technology delivery, systems operations and governance, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and meaningful business conversations.
You are a collaborative and influential leader who builds strong relationships across all levels of an organisation. Through your engaging communication style and ability to bring people together around a common purpose, you create alignment, foster trust and enable teams to achieve shared goals. You are comfortable translating strategy into practical, sustainable execution and can navigate in ambiguity as you are driving structured delivery, bringing sound judgement, commercial acumen and a measured approach to decision-making.
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
