A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Project Officer, reporting to the PMO Governance Manager in our Regional Development & Engagement (RDE) business unit. Our RDE team are crucial to our business as we look to build the digital capability and digital economy of regional and remote Australia.
A bit about your role
The Governance & PMO team is overall accountable for business unit governance, efficient and effective project delivery and capital investment, delivering on-time and to budget of a complex portfolio of initiatives. Your role will support the wider RDE team to provide high quality and effective management of project scopes across the RDE portfolio and will support in developing a long-term delivery capability.
As the RDE Project Officer you will be responsible for creating and accurately representing the project & program status towards all impacted stakeholders, including key risks, issues and dependencies towards all customers and suppliers. You will support production of executive Steerco reports, weekly reports, program reporting and other governance documentation.
You will manage risk across the business, ensuring identification of program risks including supporting analysis, monitoring, and controlling in a timely manner and support internal and external auditing requirements in line with the RDE PMO Audit Framework.
Lastly, you will be responsible for planning and controlling current and upcoming key initiatives and projects to achieve agreed business objectives, delivering on time, within budget and to NBN Co quality standards, meeting relevant stakeholder expectations.
A bit about you
As the RDE Project Officer you will bring demonstrated experience in providing support data management frameworks for complex program PMO functions, and will ideally have an understanding of Project Management methodologies and concepts across all phases of a full lifecycle program and project management, including scheduling, critical path analysis, risk management, closeout and handover.
Ideally, you will have commercial operations experience with an in depth understanding of program data management requirements, including defining inputs and understanding stakeholder required outputs, while working independently with a strong orientation towards delivery and outcomes.
Your experience in utilising systems to support complex data management processes, including Tableau and Alteryx products, as well as your high level proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including Thinkcell and Data Management will also see you succeed in this role!
