A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Deployment Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager Scope and Estimate.
Please note that we are looking for a Melbourne-based candidate.
A bit about your role
You are a subject matter expert, providing support and guidance on network deployment practices (design & construct) across all demand programs and tech types. You will use your consultative expertise to identify key stakeholder requirements for new developments, network relocations, removals, and network build.
This role will require you to collaborate and engage with industry (property developers, builders, electricians and consultants) delivery partners and internal stakeholders. You will be the primary point of contact during the pre-construction process and respond quickly to customer escalations or issues.
You will advise industry on solutions for the design and build of their fibre ready pit & pipe and pathways as they plan their developments. The ability to consult on site or remotely to provide advice and options that ensures our customers are ready for fibre deployment is crucial for the role.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will bring comprehensive knowledge of access network design principles, nbn network architecture, industry standards, nbn standards and installation practices. You have experience in the design and delivery of fixed telecommunication access networks, with an understanding of all nbn fixed line technologies. Applicants with experience specific to civil engineering and design/deployment of services within new development housing estates are also encouraged to apply.
You are customer-focused, have excellent communication skills, strong consultation skills and a strong willingness to learn on the job. You have experience working within high volume programs that require an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects. Moreover, you have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expertise with CRM tools Salesforce or Appian and GIS based software skills including SpatialNet, AutoCad and Mapinfo is ideal.
