A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Senior Manager Planning and Design Service delivery, reporting to the Executive Manager, National Test Facility, where you will join the Integrated Network Environment Service (INES) team, a key pillar within the IT Network and Service Operations business unit.
A bit about your role
The Integrated Network Environment Service (INES) team is a customer-centric organisation responsible for delivering environment services that consistently meet expectations and support the delivery of testing outcomes. In line with nbn’s vision and strategy, INES is developed to promote innovation, simplification, quality and improved customer experience.
INES is accountable for building, operating, and maintaining the integrated network test environments supporting nbn Co’s IT/OSS and network capabilities across its fixed, wireless, and satellite technologies, as well as the underlying infrastructure to meet this accountability.
As an integral member of the INES leadership team, Senior Manager Planning & Design Service Delivery leads strategic planning and end-to end design of nbn network test environment solutions driving alignment of network environment design to the test environment strategy.
A critical aspect of this role is a focus on setting best practice examples, building world class expertise, mentoring and developing mastery and autonomy in team members to ensure they have the right capabilities to deliver end-to-end test environment solutions covering all network technologies within nbn to meet future network capability requirements.
The Senior Manager Planning & Design Service Delivery will act as an escalation point for resolution of issues impacting network test environment design and will own and develop all network test environment design processes and ensure that appropriate checks and balances are in place to deliver the required quality.
A bit about you
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience managing network test environments and labs coupled with extensive experience in senior leadership. A strong working knowledge of telecommunications or technology industries is required as well as exceptional change management, stakeholder engagement and negotiating skills. You will be highly experienced in agile ways of working with proven experience with network design practices, scoping, forecasting and estimating work for technical delivery.
