A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the SME Platform Owner Containers, reporting to the Senior Manager Design.
A bit about your role
As the SME Platform Owner Containers, you will own and manage all container platforms. This can include Amazon Web Services EKS, Microsoft Azure AKS, VMware Tanzu, RedHat OpenShift, and Legacy Kubernetes.
This will involve end to end ownership of the complete lifecycle. You will develop and manage a clearly defined technology platform roadmap strategy for all container platforms to support the delivery of business capability requirements. You will also provide input and guidance on the budget to ensure the platforms are operating at an enterprise level.
You are the single point of contact for the container platform strategy, operational guidance, security, lifecycle, commercials, and relevant project activities. You will ensure the platforms are well architected, the service offerings are fit for purpose, is secure, has a lifecycle plan, has an appropriate support wrapper and BCP, and drive prudent financial decisions.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will bring a strong technical background, experience in Container and Container Management technologies (Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Azure AKS, RedHat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu), and experience with public and private cloud.
Knowledge of virtualisation/storage/networking design, delivery, and management would be essential. Moreover, you have experience in CI/CD with Jenkins and automation experience through Ansible and experience producing high-level and low-level designs.
You have a strategic mindset, are a thought leader, and have excellent communication and influencing skills as well as good stakeholder management capability.
