A bit about your role
The Specialist Injury, Health and Wellbeing’s purpose is to establish, maintain and continually improve mechanisms for our people to be enabled for self-care and to be supported when injured or ill so that nbn delivers on its risk management and regulatory obligations. Through application of specialist knowledge, the role ensures compliant and effective injury prevention and workers’ compensation claims and rehabilitation management practices are in place.
The Specialist Injury, Health and Wellbeing role leads targeted occupational health monitoring programs relevant to key health risks in partnership with relevant external health providers, effective injury response and injury prevention mechanisms and supports delivery of effective Wellbeing offerings that support the nbn Employee Value Proposition.
This role is also accountable for maintaining injury prevention and workers’ compensation claims and rehabilitation practices according to procedures and work instructions, compliant to obligations under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act. The role also coordinates wellbeing offerings with relevant suppliers, including, but not limited to, nbn’s Employee Assistance Provider (EAP).
A bit about you
If this role sounds like a good match, you will have experience applying health specialist knowledge in the context of informing employer compliance requirements and informing injury risk in a work setting. You’ll bring demonstrated experience coordinating Employee Assistance Programs and other wellbeing services and coordinating rehabilitation plans for injured employees through application of specialist knowledge.
You will have well developed analytical skills, creative problem solving and mental agility and commercial acumen. With superior communication, you will have proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the successful design, development and delivery of projects that produce sustained business benefit.
