A bit about your role
The nbn Community Ambassador is a trusted advisor, primarily responsible for engaging with communities and developing and executing activity related to partnerships, programs, and campaigns. These activities are aligned with developing regional infrastructure, lifting digital capability, and supporting communities in emergency preparation and response.
In this role, you will also act as a point of escalation for high-risk end user issues likely to impact the sentiment, brand, or reputation of nbn Co. You will resolve local problems and develop relationship to give your local community confidence that nbn are listening & acting on their needs. Finally, you will drive the execution of nbn Co’s Indigenous Digital Ability program within nominated First Nations communities.
A bit about you
Ideally the successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in public relations, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role involving external community engagement, preferably in a rural context.
The successful candidate will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills within a regional, rural or remote community setting and have existing connections to communities within the regions these roles will be located. You will demonstrate highly developed presentation skills and the ability to influence and translate complicated topics into simplified easy to understand conversations.
Lastly, the nbn Community Ambassador will be expected to be based within the nominated assigned regional areas and will hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
