National Stakeholder Relations Manager – City Development
A bit about your role
As a National Stakeholder Relations Manager, you will represent nbn with the property and development industry, urban planners, local governments, smart places practitioners and consultants, advocates & city shaping organisations on how digital infrastructure will shape our future cities and growing communities. Working nationally, you will take a leading role in our stakeholder relations, strategic partnerships, policy development/analysis etc. with these key stakeholders.
You will develop and deliver engagement strategies, identify opportunities to work with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a subject matter expert by actively contributing your engagement expertise to Enterprise-wide initiatives and programs.
You will be a key part of the City Development team with a focus on understanding and building relationships with internal teams and functions including new developments, government relations, business and industry, digital inclusion, sustainability and customer products and marketing. Using your stakeholder relationships, you will maximise opportunities for growing communities to access our future-fit fibre network, promote uptake of fibre upgrades in established suburbs and multi-dwelling units, drive awareness of new and emerging nbn smart places technologies and highlight nbn’s contribution to creating vibrant and sustainable cities.
You will be responsible and take a collaborative and proactive approach to co-creating and co-designing strategic initiatives and activities with internal and external stakeholders to deliver desirable and measurable outcomes for targeted stakeholders and the business.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing stakeholders within a complex environment, with an ability to engage with them confidently and professionally and present to business, industry and government audiences and a strong understanding of the city development sector and industry landscape including challenges, opportunities, emerging threats, and key growth areas (e.g., precincts and release areas).
You will be confident, passionate and have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and have the strategic capability to assess opportunities to tell our story to the market through events, speaking opportunities and impactful written communications.
Tertiary qualifications in Stakeholder Engagement, Urban Planning & Design, Public Policy, Marketing or Public Relations or a related discipline would be an advantage for this role.
