We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Executive Manager Strategic Planning & Governance reporting to General Manager Transformation Strategy & Delivery.
A bit about your role
The Executive Manager Strategic Planning & Governance reports to the General Manager of Transformation Strategy & Delivery and is a member of the broad New Developments Leadership team. The role acts as a key advisor to stakeholders at multi levels across the business unit and the New Developments ‘community’ to ensure the successful delivery of New Developments’ strategic transformation and Key Outcome. The successful candidate may be required to stand-in for another EM/GM within New Developments (for example, during periods of leave, or absence).
The role is accountable for enabling strategic planning and governance, which is the second pillar of practice for the Transformation Strategy & Delivery team, to transform the New Developments business, so that nbn can grow profitable revenue and achieve its goals in the highly competitive, dynamic, and innovative new developments market
This role will be accountable to support the development and securing of cross-enterprise buy-in and support, and independently execute and manage, a range of strategic programs that maximise and secure the loyalty, influence, and cooperation, and leverage the value propositions of, the most valuable industry channels and players in ways that drive nbn’s sales success, market share and profitability in new developments broadband infrastructure markets. The role requires some interstate travel.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will have extensive years of leadership experience with an exceptional track of record of planning and governing strategic, transformation and/or multi-disciplinary programs at the enterprise level in the telecommunications or technology industries, superior program planning, governance and management skills with enterprise level focus to lead the orchestration, prioritisation, and governance across the multi-year programs of interrelated initiatives that requires cross-BU alignment, proven track record in managing technology investment planning and governance effectively with strong commercial focus for an annual budget of over $10m, including business case development and value realisation governance. Exceptional Emotional Quotient with strategic mindset and well-developed leadership and change management is essential.
The incumbent will have superior communication skills - including verbal, written, visual and listening skills – with an ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across a broad group of stakeholders at multi levels to influence an enterprise mindset, achieve consistent processes, apply prioritisation frameworks, and drive decision making. Significant and demonstrable experience as a leader with proven ability to develop, coach and mentor high performing teams and individuals. Strong understanding of the Australian telecommunications and property development industry (or the ability to acquire such understanding rapidly and with little oversight) will be an added advantage.
