We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as a Principal Engineer reporting to our Executive Manager DevSecOps.
A bit about your role
The Principal Engineer is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the engineering strategy of their domain, guiding a team to deliver high-quality solutions. They ensure alignment with organizational goals, foster a culture of excellence and innovation, and collaborate with other leaders to integrate best practices. Key accountabilities of the role include defining the engineering roadmap, mentoring engineers, delivering solutions, promoting best practices, driving continuous improvement, and providing technical expertise.
A bit about you
If you are interested in this role, you should ideally have many years of telco industry experience, including leading technical/engineering teams, with a mix of in-field and design experience. You must have specialized knowledge in network platforms and/or nbn networks, and experience as a technical design authority with significant CAPEX and OPEX responsibilities.
Any experience in vendor collaboration, multi-stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts is an added advantage. Strong planning and problem-solving skills are essential, particularly in managing complex technical issues and negotiating with peer architects across various technology domains.
