Job Expectations

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Reward Specialist, reporting to the Executive Manager Reward.

A bit about your role

As the Reward Specialist at nbn, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how we reward and support our people. This position sits within a collaborative reward team and contributes to work that underpins fair, consistent and sustainable outcomes across the organisation. In this role, you will support Annual Remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking and survey analysis, as well as modelling and other cyclical reward activities. Your contribution will help inform evidence-based decision-making and support the integrity of nbn’s reward frameworks.

The role offers genuine breadth, enabling you to build capability across multiple areas of reward while making a tangible impact through thoughtful, people-centred work. There will be also opportunity to take ownership of specific workstreams.

A bit about you

You bring demonstrated experience in a reward role and are confident working with data, supported by strong advanced Excel capability. You have experience participating in large-scale Annual Remuneration reviews and, experience with Workday is beneficial. An accreditation in job evaluation methodologies is highly regarded and curiosity or experience with AI is welcomed where it supports practical reward outcomes.

You enjoy applying your technical skills in a practical, hands-on way and are comfortable operating in a role that balances analysis with delivery. You are a genuine team player with a positive, can‑do mindset, comfortable contributing within a close-knit and highly collaborative team. You bring care, curiosity and purpose to your work, and are motivated by creating outcomes that support both people and the broader mission of nbn.
