The Opportunity:
The Senior Developer is primarily responsible for delivering projects, enhancements, and technical support to the Netwealth investment and superannuation platform applications, across client-side and server-side components utilising technologies that include:
- ASP.NET Core and .NET 6+
- Multiple Languages (C#, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3)
- Frontend Frameworks (Angular, AngularJs, Knockout, StencilJs, Blazor, React)
- MS SQL Server, No Sql
- CI/CD Tools (GIT, Azure DevOps, Octopus, Terraform)
- Cloud Based Technologies (Azure)
- Test Automation Frameworks (Cypress, NUnit, MS Test, Jest, Protractor)
- Hybrid Cloud Architecture (On-Prem + Azure)
- Microservice/Micro-frontends Architecture, including service-oriented architectures.
- Event Driven Architecture/Event Steaming Platforms (Azure Service Bus + Kafka)
The Senior Developer also provides input into process and procedure development and enhancement while contributing to the formulation of the strategic direction of the Netwealth platform application and related applications across the business.
You will:
- Mentor and supervise the work of more junior Developers within a Scrum team.
- Work with the Development Managers and Architects to identify, test, document, implement and train Developers in best practice architecture, tools, patterns and standards.
- Collaborate with other Scrum team members and stakeholders to plan and estimate work and undertake technical, functional and UX design
- Update and develop platform functionality to meet new business requirements
- Undertake unit testing, building and enhancing automated unit and integration tests
- Perform code reviews and upholding quality standards
- Manage user stories and defects through to resolution
- Assist with the support of current systems
You have:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline with excellent academic results
- Proven knowledge of good software engineering practices e.g. code reviews, unit and acceptance testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience with Cloud services will be highly regarded, preferably Azure.
- Knowledge of Systems (Web, Design Systems, Kong, Kafka, Acurity) are desirable
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring skills for technical roles
- Strong organisational skills
- Exposure to Test Driven Development
- Proven problem-solving, evaluative and analytical skills
- Knowledge in Agile/Scrum is desirable
- Experience within the finance industry will be highly regarded.
- Experience in mentoring and growing people.
