The Opportunity
Our Operations Governance division safeguards adviser fee governance across Netwealth’s platform. We’re seeking a Distribution Governance Analyst to support monitoring and controls across a large adviser network.
This role has been created as part of continuous improvement initiatives within Distribution Governance. You’ll help implement enhanced controls, deliver data driven monitoring, and support remediation and reporting activities, bringing independence, objectivity, and clear insight to decisionmakers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Monitor advice fees and consent/ongoing service arrangements, reconciling fees charged vs service entitlements; identify anomalies and exceptions.
Execute risk based and random sampling/testing, maintain high quality MI/reporting, and support issues/incidents management.
Lead exception handling and remediation, quantify impacts, recommend fixes, and track to closure within SLAs.
Maintain and enhance dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and support change/UAT for fee impacting system/process updates.
Collaborate with Distribution, Product, Adviser/Licensee Support, Risk & Compliance, and IT while preserving monitoring independence.
About You
Play a key role in strengthening adviser oversight and governance standards, while contributing to investigations and misconduct reviews in a high-impact, data-driven role. Your experience and skills will include:
3–5+ years in compliance, risk/governance, audit/assurance, paraplanning or advice within wealth/platform or advice/licensee environments is essential.
Strong understanding of financial advice strategies, businesses and behaviour; able to spot abnormal activity and emerging risks.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (BI desirable); confident analysing and reconciling complex fee and transaction data and producing clear insights.
Diplomatic communicator with solid stakeholder skills; balances independence with constructive relationships.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (commerce/finance/law/risk) or industry credentials such as RG146/Financial Planning Diploma are advantageous.
